Event Details

Join us on January 26th for our first Eco-Hour of 2012. This is a special event that features not only the fabulous UW Surplus Store, but also NBIS member companies and organizations involved with waste reduction, product stewardship, recycling and repurposing materials and goods. This event will be a “mini-expo” of these enterprises and non-profits that are helping people steward and make better use of materials and resources, including: 

  • UW Surplus Store
  • Cedar Grove Composting
  • By-Product Synergy NW
  • Zero Waste Washington
  • Re-Store

Beer is provided by Elliott Bay Brewing Company, and Salmon-Safe certified wine from Portteus Winery.

Eco-Hour attendees can park in lot N-25; there is a pay station in the lot. Street parking may be found north of the facility. See the “Location, Map, Parking” page on the UW website for more details:  http://www.washington.edu/facilities/finadmin/movingandsurplus/surplus/directions

Parking in the commercial lot directly across the street is not recommended as this is restricted and cars do get towed!
